Hey friends and fam!!! We are writing to you from Chikaan, a Filipino restaurant here because of the fact that our wakeup call tomorrow morning is at… drumroll please… 5:30 AM. We love it. But we know you’re tuning in to hear about today so let’s get to it.
Today began like any other. 7 AM wake up call and breakfast. And you guys will be pleased to know, the prayers were answered about the fettuccine alfredo. We left Montebello at 8 AM. Today was a special day. We had a super unique opportunity. On behalf of Quest Fellowship, we got to enter two different high schools within the community to talk about the struggles that high school students face. What was amazing was that even though we live our lives 9,000 miles apart and in completely different cultures, we realized the struggles high school students face here in Cebu are identical to the ones we face in Forsyth County. This gave us an opportunity to talk about the impact that InsideOut has had on our lives. While we couldn’t give them the solutions to all of their problems, we COULD point them towards a relationship with Jesus through Quest InsideOut.
As y’all know, we spent our last week serving Tarong Elementary school alongside the Quest staff. But today we got the chance to serve Quest Fellowship. We assisted them in taping, sanding, and painting their hallway a bright, new shade of yellow. This hallway is filled with children in Waumba Land and UpStreet every Sunday morning. This task is going to impact so many parents and students as they enter Quest’s doors, possibly even for the first time.
Mickey D’s was brought in to Quest for a much needed dose of greasy, fast-food!!!! We scarfed down our double cheeseburgers, french fries, and apple pies. It was a sweet reminder of home. Soon after, we left Quest for our “city tour”. Let’s just say, after many days of hard work and hours of painting today, we were giggly, and delerious, and tired. #char. So after our first stop at the Casa Gorodo Museum, our INCREDIBLE leadership team noticed this and decided to make a change of plans. This change of plans resulted in an unforgettable Coldstone experience. There was icecream throwing and a whole lot of dancing. We had an absolute blast.
And here we are now. Waiting on dinner. If you could hear the noise going on around us, you would be surprised we have written this far. We love y’all and will talk to you people tomorrow.

It’s like Coldstone and Kani House had a baby and sent it to the Philippines !! We need this in our life here in Forsyth County for sure!! And WHOA, Chaddad with the skills!!! That is super impressive.
I echo GrantFred when I say I’d love to have seen a certain member of the team.. absolutely it’s Robin. I mean if Robin and Grayson were standing next to each other that would be pretty cool too.
Love to all of you!
