Hey Friends and Family,
Happy Sunday! After a wonderful and long night’s rest, we woke up to knocks on our doors at 7 A.M. Oh how we have missed the Montebello breakfast buffet. From eggs to bacon to sugary doughnuts they truly have it all (minus the fettuccine alfredo)! But please pray that the fettuccine alfredo is there tomorrow. We filled our stomachs with a delicious breakfast and loaded onto the buses. Dressed in our nice church attire we arrived at Quest Fellowship Church. This morning we were invited to attend the once a quarter volunteer service called Renew. We worshipped with the band, Peyton shared about how serving has impacted her life, and the volunteers were encouraged by Chad’s wise words to promote serving at Quest. Then we broke up into small groups with the Quest volunteers. We prayed over all that happened in the past week at Tarong, the night of worship that would be taking place that night, our team speaking at the high school’s tomorrow, and Chad’s message about saying “yes”. The meeting concluded, we divided the team into Waumba Land, UpStreet, and Guest Service volunteers. The service began at 10:45. After more worship, we heard from Pastor Les, and then we watched Andy kick off the “Address the Mess” series. While some of us were attending the service, others were busy chasing kids around and singing and dancing. It was really cool to see how similar the service can be even though it’s 9,000 miles away. It truly felt like a small glimpse of home. We headed back to the hotel to have lunch, and it reminded of us of being on the plane, as our options were chicken, beef, or fish. To put it lightly, it was not our favorite meal. We had a brief hour of free time, and then took a trip to the nearby Country Mall. Some purchased flowy pants, hammocks, and Louis Vuitton belts. After only 47 and half minutes of shopping, we returned back to the hotel and got ready for the night of worship. At 5 P.M. the team left for Quest once again. The service felt like a normal Sunday night at InsideOut. The night consisted of an abundance of songs, and Halle, Karson, and Emma boldly sharing their stories on stage. Some of the songs were the same as back home and others were not, but it is insane to see how the music connected us. It made us feel right at home, dancing and singing our hearts out as if we were at late night at The Walk. After the service ended, we fueled our tired bodies with six 48-inch pizzas, to fill 400 stomachs. When we arrived back at Montebello we jumped into large group. We read the blog and all the encouraging responses, heard devotionals from both Sarah and Jordan, and prepared for our long day tomorrow. If you could please pray for strength and peace as we share how faith has impacted our lives, at the public high schools tomorrow. Thanks for tuning in, Kyle is yelling at us to go to bed. Goodnight!
Much love,
Jackson and Halle

My small group guys talked about their high and low for the week. One of them said that their low was missing their friends in the Philippines. And then they made fun of each of you! 🙂

Sounds like you guys are continuing to make many wonderful memories. It also sounds like you just might be catching up on your sleep – just in time to head home and deal with the jet lag all over again. Yikes!! At least we are leaving for the beach. You can sleep under the umbrella all day long. I may hold your hand the whole time though!!!
Prayers for a wonderful last few days and extra prayers for fettuccine Alfredo!!!!

What a week y’all have had! It’s really weird since I miss you so much and want nothing more than for you to come home , but as I read these final posts I feel the sadness that I know you feel right now as this amazing trip comes to the end. You have experienced so much this week and I am so happy for you. God has been preparing my heart for you to go away to college and this was a big test for me. You always used to cry at the end of our vacations because you have such a sentimental heart. I can only imagine the moments you have experienced this week that will forever be woven in your memory. That brings me joy. I love you so so much Elise and cannot wait to hear about everything -and to celebrate your birthday that is coming up next week. I thank God for the day He gave you to me. Love you Mom

BBIO wasn’t the same without all of you but excited to hear that you experienced IO Philippines style. I was asked about your trip by everyone! You are all missed and have no idea how many people are praying for all of you!! And such an inspiration for the ones about to leave on mission trips. Perfect timing to post an update while we were still at IO.
Halle, we are so proud that you shared your testimony. I may have told one or two or a dozen people and maybe even put in on my Instagram. 😉 Your SG leaders, Transit & IO staff, my IO SG and family & friends are thinking about you, praying for you and some are following the blog even tho they may not comment. They all can’t wait to see you after you rest up and spend some time at home!!
To the team- As time winds down, I can imagine how hard it will be to leave. Continue to take in every moment! Know that you are making a difference in all the lives of the people that you come in contact with, including each other. Most importantly, embrace the change God is making in you, thru this trip. Our message at IO was about labels. I pray when you look in the mirror, you see what God sees.
Love and prayers from the Daube Family
